Chilean born Hector Pizarro, enlightens us with his trademark late night jazzy & experimental sounds in the form of a 4 track EP. Reminiscent of early works by Pole or Farben, Hector’s music floats in a sea of dubby atmospheres surrounded by broken beats and sparse percussion. On remix duties, Mathias Linzatti offers 2 distinct dubby re-workings of Montevideo, one of which includes vocals from his girlfriend. Followed by From Karaoke To Stardom’s mysterious and steady remix of Mi Abuelito, To close things off, Sebastian Herre offers us a groovy dancefloor affair with his rework of Ciclo. All in all, a varied package of both listen-at-home and dance-your-ass-off cuts brought to you by the Produkt family.

produkt003 - Produkt Artist Ensemble - 1

Produkt Artist Ensemble shows the wide range of quality music Produkt Schallplatten has in store for its listeners.
A1, produced by Johan Fotmeijer, is a deep piece of organic techno, which focuses on middle eastern chants and percussion; the rolling bassline on “Amir” will take you through peaks and valleys, but the highlight here is the amazing guitar solo.
A2, comes from the mind of William Kouam Djoko (member of Jason & the Argonauts). William translates his signature dance moves into an all out dancefloor bomb! filled with soul and funk “Right Back” will certainly get the booties shaking.
B1 is produced by Staffan Linzatti under his Forever Delayed moniker. “Mini Skirt” is a fast paced groover with an experimental tip; this is one you’ll hear at your nearest after hour.
Finally, B2 is a collaboration between Sebastian Herre and Red Kite. “Spiel mit der Angst”, will take you on a ride through a microscopic playground of bleeps and blops until its low bass drops bring you back to reality and make you pull a dance move or two. All in all a varied and well produced EP from one very produktive family.

produktdigital006 - human interaction series - rendez-vous 1

What could 6 artists do after a weekend of partying? They could start a conceptual music production jam-session in 3 separate rooms, by pairing up and switching rooms and partners every 20 minutes! It was an experiment in human interaction and what the result might be when different producers with different backgrounds work together in the same project. Mathias Linzatti, Mike Wall, Michael Standor, Sebastian Steimel, Miguel Colmenares and Sebastian Herre took part in such project in September, 2007. The result is a 3 track EP filled with several different influences and sounds, each track unique but at the same time similar. More rendez-vous sessions will follow soon…

produktdigital002- Jason and the Argonauts - Let’s open up Communication

We are very pleased to present you Jason and the Argonauts first Produkt EP “Let’s open up communication”. The four guys from the Netherlands delivered 3 awesome tracks between techno and house, full of deep grooves and soul. They are also known for their great live acts and already released a nice ep on Redevice and of course their amazing remix for Shadi Megallaa’s “smitten dicken ep” (produkt002).
Additional to the original tracks there are remixes of Pete Bandit, one part of Jason and the Argonauts, Ion Ludwig (Quagmire, Alphahouse) and Johan Fotmeijer (Trapez, Mille Plateaux, Adjunct, Produkt) which are even more than just an addition. Fotmeijer’s remix is a journey into dark and dubby, slowed down grooves and Ion Ludwig is concentrating on a nice trippy bassline while Pete Bandits remix is a great peaktime track.

Produkt001 - Dilo & Seph - Laberintos EP

April 2nd, 2007

Its time for our first vinyl presented by 2 hot argentinians. Dilo and Seph, both known from their releases on labels like Einmaleins, Telegraph, Roman Photo, Stock 5, Leftroom or of course Dilo’s own label Igloo, created two absolutely amazing deep grooves, perfect for all times in the night and the day.

Title track “Laberintos” is a straight moving minimal tune with a great grooving bassline and an absorbing percussion melody at the end. “Owl” the second A track comes again with a great grooving bassline and big effect rooms and shows how good both producers work together to maximize their skills. For the remix on the B side the third argentinian joins the record: Franco Cinelli, known from labels like Alphahouse, Milnor Modern or Hello? Repeat. He remixed the title track and created an awesome hypnotic track building up step by step with more grooves, basslines and effects till the percussion melody from the original comes in and the emotions explode in deep surfaces, perfect for the morning.

Produktloop - Mix - Djeho Youn - January live set

While waiting for the next loop release on our netlabel you can spend some time in listening to that live set of Djeho Youn. He built that set for all people who aren’t able to use the loops as resource to create something new out of it. Djeho Youn only used our produkt loops of the first release and gives his interpretation of how to use these files in the best way and get out a 30 min peaktime set with lots of changes and grooving basslines. That live set does only give you a small foretaste to how his own tracks will sound which you’ll find soon on Produkt Schallplatten.
